Hello! It's great to be here among you all. We have interesting stories to tell, don't we?
Boy, adoption sure isn't what 'they' promoted it to be now is it? The statement "what is best for the child" is just so stupid - obviously the people that came up with it were not an adoptee.
I'll get to more of why I feel the way I do later, but just wanted to say Hi and intro myself.
I am a 45 year old female. I was adopted at 8 months old. I have 2 adopted daughters that are African American. I am Caucasian. I am also a wife and step-mother and a grandmother to 2 wonderful grandkids.
I am a stay at home mom now, after working for one company for over 20+ years - they went out of business in 2007. That in itself was bittersweet. I'd always wanted to be a stay at home mom, but finances kept me in the work force. When the company folded - I decided (well, we decided) I would not look for work but be the stay at home mom I always wanted to be. It's hard financially - but not having my children in daycare out weighs everything else.
okay, I'd better stop writing now or it's just going to turn into a book LOL ![]()
